I'm curious.

What's this white dot, is it some kind of quality control 'passed' sticker; and why is it only on SureFire LED's?

The color of the sticker indicates the color of the LED.

I coloured the dot red with a marker pen but the light did not change!

Try a BLACK marker pen. But be advised that this only works if the light is off.

In some parts of the world they color the sticker black and stick it to their forehead.:laughing:

there would be less confusion without the sticker, considering there are only white KL1's ...

Of course it didn't! You have to use a Magic Marker.

Not just any old marker pen!

I was totally unaware of it, thanks for the link. Just had a quick look and it looks very interesting. Going to take a closer look now.

I'm more 'knifie' than 'torchie' but like to visit here now and again; they seem a friendly informative bunch.

The dot on SureFire flashlights does indeed indicate LED color.
No question is a dumb question unless it is not asked.
