This is my opinion: It's not a Gladius.

First off it doesn't look like a real G36K...
The light is mounted using two ARMS(?) ring mounts.
It's a SureFire. It looks like an XM TailCap (I think I can see part of the cable)
and an M2 bezel (I thnk I can see a hex and cooling fins).
Not sure which body but it's two-SF123A sized.

I look forward to seeing the movie!

here's the photo I base my conclusions on

From that blurry picture shot, it resembles a SF.M951XM or the SF.M952XM. . .Hard to tell from that angle. But what like Al mentioned, the head looks "finned" so maybe it modded for the movie to give it that "gothic" look. . .I don't know.

I don't think it's a Gladius, either. The head is too large. It looks like a Surefire LED sized head, to me...something like an L5 or L6.

I really want to see this movie, too. I absolutely loved the first one. I love the whole genre (Blade, Underworld, Van Helsing, Angel (TV)). Great stuff!

Interesting, since on the SureFire's Tactical Products catalog, for those particular weapon's lighting applications, it doesn't state LED. At least not via the figure diagrams provided. Of course, that's not to say that the heads aren't interchangeable.

!Warning! I am no Surefire expert! That's just what I thought it looked like! If I had to put money on it, I'd go with whatever Size 15's says! Maybe, we'll get a definitive answer when the movie comes out.

I can't see it being a KL6...

It could be a KL5 but I'm not convinced.
I don't think it's an M95 WeaponLight housing.

The KL5 and KL6 can be used but before you try I urge you to contact me because there have been reports of them being damaged due to an easy to fix issue.

Not my photo:

Is there a light in this pic? :naughty:

When will the movie launch? The first one was really good (as opposed to POS like vanHelsing et al) ... I am looking forward to this one !

How do you see that?
I thinks it looks exactly like a G36K, it got 4 airvent slots in the handguard, not 6 as the G36 got, and the magazine got the tab that makes it possible to connect several magazines.
I don't think it looks like a modified SL-8 either:

This is one of my friends rifle, he uses the original HK magazines and not a AR style magadapter like those seen in the US(due to the SL-8 being "post-ban") Here with a C-Mag.

I guess it really is a softgun replica though, cheaper and you don't have a lot of safety stuff to think about on the set.
I agree on the mounted light, looks like someone cooked up something with some scoperings.

And now, back to our scheduled program, "What kind of light is it?"

I'll take cheap modified stuff for 400

The guys on HKPro forum seem to think it's not a real firearm...

I look at it and perhaps it's the "dirt" but it looks wrong somehow.

Didn't like the vanHelsing, eh? How about Hell Boy?

I loved 'em both, but I'll have to admit, I'm easily facinated.

Due to time constraints I have to be more selective than I was a few years ago.
In most modern Fantasy or Sci-Fi movies there are superb special effects, but unfortunately they tend to forget the storyboard and a selection of good actors. Most are disappointing as a result.

Typical examples:
- Van Helsing
- Star Wars IV - VI
- Hell Boy
- Indipendence Day
- Day after Tomorrow
- etc.

Some very good and rare films:
- Lord of the Rings
- Underworld
- Nochnoi Dozor (the Russian thing)
- Dragonslayer (old Disney film)
- Star Wars I-III
- Alien 1-3
- Dune
- Bram Stoker's Dracula
- etc.

But that is just IMHO.

most movies use airsoft guns like mine, they have the exact same dimentions, same weight (in my case its actually heavier than the real gun) and it has the same rate of fire (800rpm)

Bernie,

Great choices! (I liked all from both categories! Never heard of the russian one, though)

Ok, I hope I don't get the shaft for continuing post OT, but I have to know..... Pitch Black, and The Chronicles of Riddick? (yep, I loved 'em both) Wait, I can't stop, how about the new one, Serenity?

Ah ... so we will both get slammed for the OT :D

Pitch black is great, Riddick is cool for what it is. Like both, too :) .

Never heard of Serenity though. :help:

pr5owner ... so the airsoft guns look like the real ones? Strange...

Whoa Hey Mai! It's now on DVD. . .Excellent movie. First movie that made me deaf in the theaters. . .

Airsoft in stock form does not look like real steel to me. Highly customized ones do!
