Is anybody here into multicolor maglites?

I have 2 magelites one silver and the other black. Has anybody here ever made any wild color combinations? What about purple and camo?!?! I was thinking about a silver mag with black head and tail rings. Any thoughts?

Check the collectors forum section. many don't use them since we all pretty much have moved on to better light's, but a lot collect them for the color's,
many often are rare and bought from overseas retailer's. for instance i nver had seen a smooth non knurled mini mag till I saw one in collectable's.VDG

I occasionally mix tailcaps, heads, & bezel rings - slap an LED in them (MJLED or Terralux) and then use them for gifts.

I find this an easier way to identify specific mag mods or LED colors as well.

I used to do that. The switch can be oh, sorta a bad connecting path, in some used a lot, and I would use a barrel with a good one, and add a different
head tailcap bezel ring etc. I used to (before finding out about mineral glass
on CPF) just take the plastic len's off because it seemed to make a difference.

The only mag i use now has a terralux mini star2 in it. VDG

If you like mixed color Mags, you need to check out this thread by NikolaTesla on his super Magmods.

As Sigman said, when I was into modding Minimags (actually, mostly minimag clones) I used to swap the tails, heads and bezels around to keep track of which was which. Sorta like this... and I can tell you what each one of these has in it.
