I recently acquired some 10mm pink LEDs and want to mod a safety flasher using them. I have many different choices for the host, but would like to hear from you all on what color LED has a similar Vf, so I can choose the best host.
Pink LED specs: I=20ma Vf=3.4v Vfmax=3.6v Vfmin=3.0v
I know red LEDs typically have a much lower Vf, so what should I go for? Green? Amber?
I have already modded a 3 LED white front light by replacing one white with a pink just to test out the idea. The white LEDs probably have a similar Vf and current rating, but the pink LED isn't as bright as it probably could be.
