The test on flashlightreviews dot com only shows 12 hours of regulation. Does anyone know how far past 12 hours this 50% regulation can go?

No regulation in the DB-3W, just resistance.
I believe you are referring to this review:
The graph shows the Alkaline fast roll off, followed by the extremely long run time from the cells. In the review it crossed the %50 mark at 11hr 29min and has started it's slow descent to zero. You can get some useable amount of light for 24 hours.

Yes, just resistance in the unregulated versions.
Also, even the regulated versions DO NOT HAVE REGULATION.
PERIOD.
They have a simple voltage boost circuit. But the output curve exactly follows the standard discharge curve for alkaline batteries.
