Just a quick question from another new guy:
I did a search but couldn't find what I was looking for. I just got the Task Force 3AAA light with 3 Nichia LED's. It seems well built. The walls are much thicker than any Maglights I've seen. Seems like a decent light, especially on sale for ten bucks.
How does the output of 3 Nichia LED's compare to (for example) a minimag, or the 1-watt Luxeon (that costs three times more)? Also, what can I expect for battery life? Would rechargeables help or hinder the output?
Okay, that's more than one quick question, but before I found this forum, I never realized there was so much to know about a simple thing like a flashlight!
