Sold/Expired WTB: Amber Q3

Just like the Title says...looking to buy a Q3 with an amber/yellow LED.
I'd prefer 1 with a 2-stage tailcap as well but it's not necessary.

Also, if you have any other amber LED lights, let's talk!

I have a Amber K2 fitted on a JIL DD sandwhich running flupic.

Amber K2 in a small Jil. That sounds neato!!

I take it the amber K2 die size is like a Luxeon1, and not huge like a LuxeonIII, but yet can take 700ma or more right? Should equal out close to same lumens or a litttle less, but with good throw.

Jillite is a CR2 light with HAIII. The DD version runs off of a li-ion I think... The K2 is the next yet-to-be-released luxeon from Lumileds. The flupic is a programable type of circuit with some special features probably like dim or flash. I can't remember.

If I read it right, for offer is just the sandwich, not the complete Jil lite.

I have a Q3 with glass lens, a lux 1 amber led and a POP module in the Q3. Not really willing to part with this but will do so if the price is right.

With a $14 led, I'm asking $50
With a less expensive led, I can do a lower price.
Let me see if I can find an amber star somewhere.

Asking $50 for which light...a modded Q3? Is that with a 1W or 3W?
Is it in new condition?

New condition Q3 and holster, with a 3 watt amber, dismounted from it's crappy oem star, remounted to an electrically isolated Luxeon1 star.
This one will be direct drive off a cr123 primary at around 700-1000 milliamps.

If I add a 2 watt resistor of about .47 ohms, it should be ok with r123's.
I just test fitted a 2 watt resistor, and it fits where the Q3's boost electronics used to.

The bad news would be that it wont be as bright with a primary 3 volt cell.
But, if you want it less bright with runtime for any reason, then just swap out the batteries.
