The military anglehead flashlight has been around for decades - probably one of the most recognized flashlights around due to its military use and 90 degree design. Many soldiers have carried and used the light and it has been a common sight being carried on the the front of the load bearing suspenders of soldiers.

Does anyone know the history behind the anglehead light? Who designed it. (This is probably more of a question for you collectors and members or former members of the military)

I know that currently they are made mostly by Fulton Industries but have seen some made by others too. And it has been copied quite a bit too. The Boy Scouts had several anglehead flashlights as have others. Other manufactures have borrowed the design and even improved on it with swivel head lights, etc.

Thanks.
