where are the brightest 5mm leds available from

I am looking for the brightest 5mm white leds. Where is a good place to get them online. My recently arrived Eternalight is supposed to have bright leds in it but I don't think they are that bright.

I just saw these today. Apparently 50,000 mcd, 5mm, 20° whites are out now. I tested this seller's 40,000 mcd LEDs. These should hopefully be 25% better.

Currently nichia GS is the brightest but IMO if you want a nicer beam the Cree 5mm LEDs while not as bright have a nicer beam and tint by far. none of the purplish yellow rectangular beam the GS is famous for.

Just found those, they claim 100k mcd. I have a very neat, high quality body 3XAAA light that has 9 or 10 5mm LED's, I really like this little light because I can fit an 18650 inside of it due to how thin the LED's are :laughing: I might buy these and try to bring it up to par.

I second either Nichia or Cree for quality LEDs. Be careful with the nameless stuff from the far East off the 'Bay...you usually get what you pay for...

The above seems to be the consensus opinion here on these, from what I've read.
