I was walking down the hallway at work a couple years ago and noticed two co-workers passing an object back when one remarked "go ahead do it".

Well all I could see was his hand at waist level as he started this back and forth shaking motion.

I couldn't exactly see what was going on, but all I and another employee in the hallway kinda gasped! How rude!.....oh it's just one of those shake flashlights, lol! no I didn't want to try it.

How long a shake lasts is greatly overexagerated. Flashlight reviews has shown a shake only lasts 30 seconds to a minute before it dims. I think the crank - windup lights are a better option. They are brighter and last longer.

Personally I don't like any of them. I see no need when lithium batteries have a 10 year shelf life and a torch can run for hundreds of hours on a LED with them. The shakies are more of a gimmick I think.
