Why don't they make C sized 3V lithium batteries?

Wouldn't you just love to death a 2C Mag sized light that put out 200 or more lumens, had great throw from a smooth reflector or great beam from a stiple one (came with both) and lasted several hours?

Would make an M3 look like a joke.

The Maker of the HDS lights used to make a caving light that operated of a single lithium D cell.

I could be wrong cause it's been many years now but I believe they were $20 each back then. These were non-rechargeable.

Maybe somebody with a better memory can chime in here.

Found some more info, rechargeable D- cells Lithium Ion s appear to be available the cost is about $25 each.

Most large lithium batteries are only designed for very low currents and are not suitable for use in a high powered flashlight. They don't make high current C and D lithium batteries because they would be absurdly expensive and no normal person would buy them.
