I have an IBM T23 laptop and I tried Power DVD and it plays kinda choppy. I tried Mediamatics too, but it didn't work. You have any recommendation for Freeware/Shareware or bought DVD playing programs? Thanks for the help.

When you find a good player, I recommend this prog to go with it, DVD Genie:

It does things like (re)sets region coding, and does specific things for certian programs. It's freeware.
I use a cracked version of Intervideo's WinDVD Platinum, it's the only player my DVD-R likes.

Maybe u need more memory in that laptop, I have Cyberlink powerDVD and it rocks! but also have a P4 with 2 Gigs of Ram and 256 MB videocard, YMMV
