I always forward the first message of this type to 'spoof' at ebay and any that follow go straight to "Junk".

I check the eBay "My Messages" on the eBay website - if it is a legitimate message from eBay it will be there as well - anything I get in my email that's not in my eBay "My Messages" get's sent to their spoof addy.

Super Moderator,
I keep getting, "If you don't send my item I will report you to e-bay" spoof. Between that and the PayPal ones, they are wearing me out.

I get so many of those damn things from ebay and paypal now that there is nothing the real ebay or paypal could send me that I would believe. 
Sometimes the fake ones even have your real name.
