That's interesting. They're testing LED's in conditions that are ideal for them. What I think they should look at is long term operation in places like the deserts of Arizona. Heat is what kills LED's, not cold. The temp range for automotive applications combined with the >45C ambient temps in the desert make for a challenging environment for LED's. Now the K2 with it's 185C junction operating temp on the other hand...
