    Default source for UV light?

    I need one to charge up various glowy things,,,,
    Don't leave a light on for me.

    The Inova X1 UV works good for that and its about $20-$25

    Lighthound's 3AAA UV is awesome. I've got one, and as a matter of fact, just used it a few seconds ago! Funny I should find this thread like this...

    Have you tried... the SUN? Or maybe a blacklight incandescent bulb... the kind you screw into a normal lamp...

    I've built hundreds of UV rechargables with both 5mm Led's and Cree's 1W UV.

    The Cree models have better UV spectrum and throw better if designed properly.

    I also have several of the 12 led light like Lighthound offers.

    Go with the Cree UV if you can swing it
