Photonfanatic has these for sale right now and I need one for a cr123 light
which one is better?

AFAIK they both have the same tint (X1) but which voltage is more desirable?

L = 3.75V-3.99V
N = 4.23V-4.47V

I'm guessing the lower voltage (L BIN) it requires is preferable? longer runtime?

Can a UWOK or UWOL be found anywhere?

thanks for any input :)

He had UX1K at one point.
That would be even better.
Check the dealers corner part of the forum.

But if not, UX1L is the better one for a single cr123 light.
Especially, a direct drive rechargeable "3.7 volt" cr123 light. ;)

UWOK and UWOL are at present, made of "unobtanium"
Those won't be easy "to say the least" to find.

Running an L Vf bin in a single cell light could put a real dent in your runtime, depending on how hard you push it. If, for example, you are going to run the Lux III at 500mA, with a K Vf you could expect about 1.5 hours of runtime. With the L Vf, you might get 20 minutes less. Of course this is a rough, give or take estimate.

I'd wait for a J Vf U bin, considering the premium price that U bins are demanding.

If you are just out for the absolute brightest light that you can get, then by all means go with the L Vf U bin. Odds are that it will, at the least, be a tad bit brighter than a good T bin. If you are looking for a real tool that will last as long as it could and still give you bright light, then just save yourself some money and grab a nice H or J Vf T bin.
