I just put in a new blue LED into my power button on my computer case.
Problem: it's a high brightness LED, and now it's TOO bright! I just wanted the color.

The old led was yellow green and had 2 dies in it.. kind of odd, but anyways...

I've also noticed the trend of speaker manufactorers, etc to use blue leds, but they are high brightness meaning they project a shadow on the wall across your room they are so bright!! Seems this would be a problem in using any kind of new led for color... Not just blue, but green, red, etc.

What value resistor should be used to drop it down to the intensity of a standard old school indicator LED?

Jeff, wow, that high eh? I would have no clue, I would of guessed like 3 ohm!!
I do have some 4.7k-ohm I believe. I'll try that first. Thanks!
