Further investigation of the River Rock combination light

I recently purchased the RR combination flashlight at Target for $8. I unscrewed the front focusing assembly, removed the reflector & was surprised to find 3 empty led sockets next to the 3 led's that were already there. For a mod, one can drill 3 small holes in the reflector to accomadate 3 more led's similar to the 5 mm nichia led's that came with this light. I'm also wondering if a "quality" led can replace the krypton bulb? For $8 i feel that this light has has some interesting mod potential. RR claims using 3 aaa alkalines, 35+ hrs run time for led's, 2.5 hrs on the krypton bulb.
