You can use the PR based Luxeon module in 3 cell Mag, but calling it a "throw monster" is more than a bit of an exaggeration. The throw will be less than the stock Mag Krypton bulb and considerably less than the Mag Xenon bulb. I tried this conversion once before and found the output roughly around that of a Streamlight 4AA ProPoly, maybe just a tad more with the spot fully focused.
But thanks for the pointer. It's still a worthy conversion (at$15) for those who may be seeking to add a bit more useful life to a Mag and don't want to wait for the MAG Module or spend twice as much for the Diamond module.
