LED for maglight

It doesn't put out a lot of light to begin with and the light will diminish significantly by the time it reaches the 150 hour mark. If you're expecting output that is going to be similar to what you're getting from either the Mag Krypton or Xenon bulb, you're going to be very disappointed.

According to your link, it's only for 2,3, or 4 cell lights. For a 6 cell, I would try an EverLED, it runs on 1 to 6 cells. Is a lot pricier, $40 instead of $15, but is also a lot brighter than you'll get with just four 5mm LEDs. That's also why the stated runtime for the QuadStar is so long, the 5mm LED's draw relatively little power and are also fairly dim, a 6D would be serious overkill even if it didn't fry the bulb.
