Hi all,

I was formerly known as 'alfaman'.
I have some home brewed LED flashlight for sale.
I have around 100 units of Luxeon III SWOJ EMitters left from an abandoned project. These aren't your typical CNC alu flashlight.
They are specially made from really cool ALTOIDS CHEW GUM TINS.
The tin houses a Luxeon III emitter, a simple on/off switch and a 2 x AAA battery holder (batteries not included).

No focus lens/reflector. The light will give a floodish effect. Each LED has only 10sec runtime to date.

I have a mixed lot of 4 favors.
Green = Apple
Pink = Cherry
Gold = Cinnamon
Silver = Mint

I am clearing the entire lot @ USD 10.00 each + $5.00 shipping/handling.
Sorry, the colors are random, you don't get to choose.
Any queries, please feel free to post.
I admit these works of mine pales to the real Mccoys in CPF. :)

The panasonic battery depicted is 'AA' sized. Have a nice day.

That's direct drive on 2aaa, no boost? How does the brightness after a few hours of operation compare with a typical 5mm keychain light? This light is probably best on lithium aaa's.

Hi all,

Yep. Its a DD. I am running it on Oxyride AAA.
I try to keep things simple by minimising parts(costs) and salvaging whatever is in the house. This is not a $ spinner, just repackaging my leftover SWOJ into something more presentable to end users.
You can paypal to [email protected]. Cards +2%.
Please kindly PM me as well. Cheers.

my five Altoids have arrived and i am pleased. thnx alfaman2!

my wife quickly grabbed one for herself and i put another in my collection. the other three will be for gifts.

quick review:
three of the five have nice fairly white LEDs.
the other two have duller, bluer LEDs.
beam is full-flood with no hot spot, great for reading something while watching tv in the dark or lighting a wide area.
construction is so-so but should be easy to repair should any of the many wires come loose.
conclusion: a fun flashlight that anyone would enjoy owning.
