Is there much difference between these two Mag mods?

Does anyone know which is the brighter and farther throwing Mag mod from these two? The Sears 3AAA Lux1 Worklight or the Diamond DB-3W? I'm looking at buying a Mag 3C just to do one of these and wondering if there's much difference between them.

I don't have the sears but I do have a couple other Lux1 based replacement bulbs in addition to several DB-3Ws. For up close work, either works well. But if you need even a moderate amount of throw, you'll definitely appreciate the DB-3W. I keep the Lux1s mostly for my indoor use, and the Lux3s for more general use.

I don't have the DB-3W, but have converted a couple of 3D Mags with the Sears module. Purely from eyeball measurements, I'd put the output of the converted Mag to be around that of a SL Pro Poly 3C with a bit more sidespill. When put side by side with a LEDBeam 3C with the spot of the Mag focused to about the same as that of the ProPoly 3C, the LEDBeam 3C is brighter and has more throw. Hope that will give you a point of reference.
