We've all seen beam shots on walls, and against various back grounds.
But it would be cool to see just how well a light works when it is used in "candle mode". (updated this post to answer questions)

* Shoot straight into the room with no ceiling in the pic if possible. We want to see bounced light, not a beam shot on the ceiling.

* A nice BEFORE pic of a room with just the residual ambient lighting.
Then a nice AFTER photo of your various lights in candle mode.

*You may prop up any light you wish if it doesn't stand on its own.

* If possible, a room shot with the head removed. Maglites can do this.
* Optional, a pic of ALL your lights in candle mode. :wow:

Should prove very interesting.

Remember, ceiling bounce pics ONLY. If I allow anything you guys will start posting every beam pic you have like it was your children. :p

Anyone carry pictures of their lights in their wallet? :sssh:

Great idea! (I mean about the pic in the wallet) :)

A catalog showing the relative output of specific lights. Nice.

Need to have a manual camera. Maybe we should post the settings too.

candle mode in the minimag is a shocker! first it really looks like a candle...secondly it actually have enuf flood in the mode to be useful if all lights are out...

Maybe a beam shot will follow lol

Optional. If it were me, I would place it on the floor or tabletop in the middle of the room. Just be sure to label the pic with the make and model of the light.

Basically, you want a shot of the room with the light produced from the flashlight. Don't take pics of the ceiling. Just dead straight into the room.

Well, I don't have one right now. And I'm not sure how to insert a pic here. Can it be inserted into the text?
