Buy or build KL4?

Just wanted to hear the pros and cons of buying a KL4 head for my E-series/Aleph legos versus building an Aleph LE with similar specs (~660mA BB driver, W-bin LuxV I gather).

I did build a BB400/WX1S light engine that I am enjoying, but now that I've got some R123s I am in the mood to go brighter (of course). Since I'm torn between the two, can someone please sway me to one or the other?

There are two things to consider:

1) beam: the KL4 will give you a wider spread than the Aleph heads
2) heat: on the smaller Aleph heads you will run into problems with that kind of power for longer burns
3) there *might* be a problem with the BB driver on Li-Ion ... this issue has never been clarified to death
4) the KL4 is a fixed combo and isn't flexible

Well .. make that 4 points. Difficult decision ... fortunately, it's yours :nana:
