Surefire L2, rapid decrease in runtime?

I'm kinda interested in the Surefire L2. The problem I have is, if you look Quickbeams runtime plot, http://www.flashlightreviews.com/reviews/surefire_l2.htm it will discourage you from buying on of these rather quickly. Would it be safe to assume there was something wrong with the electronics of this light? Anyone have the same problem with theirs?

We came to the conclusion that there must be some problem with the runtime graphs because most peoples L2's seem to last around 40 mins on high. At least that's what I have experienced. Hope that helps.
