New light arrived mini review Coast v 10

I ordered a coast v10 pocket light. I saw it on amazon for $14 ,its really small,I measure 2 3/4 inch,runs on 3 AAAA.Nice stainless steel,looks good!Nice solid heft to it. It has blueish white tint, same as the new inova radiant AAA,but brighter and a wider fllood beam with good spill.Also brighter than my xnova 2cr123! Not perfectly smooth beam ,but good. Especially for indoors and close up work. Even walking around, Ill take it out tonight to dog walk. Should be ok for that. Twist to turn on/off. As for batteries it says 50 hrs! I doubt that! When i recieved it the batteries in it were nearly dead, Great, I did what a fellow poster suggested I opened up a duracell 9 v, inside are 6 AAAA batteries! Cool,now thats cheap power! works out to 44 cents per battery! They fit perfectly, just note to check polarity with a meter,the normal bump on mine were actually thr neg! weird.There is no lens just 3 leds.A nice flat bottom for candle mode.As for quality of construction not bad,the only complaint is a bit of roughness on the threads,I put some dielectiric grease to hopefully smooth things out. Overall for $14 plus shipping its a cool little pocket light. :naughty: Mine is not the 1.25 w.it is actually the eddie bower version same as avail at target for 19.99 .Hope this helps

No ,mine was brand new in a sealed package from Amazon,not target,they had 3 more by different seller this Am.

It was not in stock at any stores I went to.
There are 2 models very similar looking,as far as I can tell of the V10.one is a 1.25 w @$36 and mine is a V10 19.99 at target online only or amazon 14.50.

I took it outside tonight, nice flood out 20 to30 feet very easy to walk with.
Well worth 14 bucks! Should have a good run time. Much brighter than something this small should be!

I emailed coast about the dead battery,they replied in less than 24 hours and are sending a set of batteries! They offered a nice apology also,very good customer service!Here are links;

Anyone else try this light yet? I ve been using mine all week, seems to run forever and what a wide spill in such a small package.Still no dimming. Its still runnning on the 9 volt battery I took apart,12 batteries in a $5 2 pack!
