Surefire L4 battery question

For all you L4 owners - at approximately what remaining battery voltage does the L4 output fall off the cliff?

Followup - can you milk a little extra battery life out of waning G2/6P/9P batteries by moving them to an L4?

I don't know about the voltage, but the batteries that produce yellow light in my G2 produce bright, happy white light from my KL4..

Thanks ... anyone else have any info about what the approxiamte battery voltage level is when the L4 regulation quits working?
