I just received my replacement U2 from SureFire, and I noticed the wire clip is now shiny and reflective. The earlier model which I sent in under warranty had a clip with a matte finish. I thought the older clip looked more subdued. The new one is a little too "bling" for my tastes.
Anyone else has the new shiny clip and prefers it to the older one?
Anyway I got a nice replacement; Black HA without any purple in it, and a LED that's creamy white on the highest setting, though slightly green on the dimmer settings. The bezel is water-tight too (tested it myself). Noticeable donut hole, but it doesn't really bother me in actual use. Overall I'm satisfied with the replacement :thumbsup:
LEDs still can't beat a good incandescent for colour rendition though
