I've been thinking of using luxeon 5500k leds to light my bedroom and I was wondering how they compare to full spectrum fluorescent lights in terms of light quality (cri, etc). My lighting preference (unless I'm reading or using my computer in which case I use fluorescents) is for a spot light effect - one small bright spot with the rest of the room dark. Fluorescents are too diffuse and halogens too warm (and diffuse).
How do luxeon 5500k leds compare to fluorescent lights?
