Is there any official word in how well the K2's will work in reflectors made for the Lux3's?

Is it an issue at all? Any ideas on a fix if so?

The K2 samples I got seem to work well with the -J (Joker reflectors).

So, Don.... are your initial assessments of the K2 worthy of putting them into any of your lights? :naughty:

WP,
The engineering sample K2's that I worked with fell well short of expectation and performance in comparison with a good LuxIII. I am prepared to use them in my designs and even have a reel on order but [insert via edit] no anticipation that the K2 will immediately dethrone the LuxIII.

Edited above and in answer to question below, the K2 samples I worked with were very inefficient compared to LuxIII's and had high Vf's and generated too much heat and consumed too much power in doing so, IMHO.

hum... in what ways did it fall short? in overall output? because the ratings for the K2 is much higher than the luxIII... ? Doesn't the LuxV compare more to the K2?
