Questions regarding KL1

Did the newest tir optic'ed KL1 come out first as a stand alone product? or did it come out after the E2L?

Also can the KL1 use a 17670 or P168S? if so how long runtime?

does it get toasty hot like the L4?

The new KL1 came out prior to the E2L. I believe I got mine about 14 months ago. Screwed it onto my E2e and never looked back.

I'll defer to another CPFer on your rechargeable question.

You can run the KL1, in regulation, with one CR123, one RCR123, or any single LiIon rechargeable cell, 3-4.2 volts. You can run the KL1 on two CR123, two RCR123's, or any other two LiIon's of same size. You can run it with three CR123's. Buck/boost circuit of KL1 allows 3-9 volts to run in regulation safely.
