A few days ago I came across a LED flashlight and thought that I bookmarked the site. It appears that I did not :-( I have been searching for the light but cannot find it. Here is a partial description of the light, I am hoping that someone will recognize it and let me know its name. Also if you have used the light, do you have an opinion of it.

Body is triangular in cross-section, yellow in color. It runs on 3 AA batteries. The head comes off of the body and you can select different lights to put on the body. The one that I was interested in had several LEDs. It had a spot and flood function. I believe it had a green LED for night use. It was water proof to 100 feet though the manufacture did not recomment changing the setting under 10 feet of depth. The light was manufactured in Canada. If you had the light clipped onto a life jacket (PFD) it would activate and flash. I think there was a magnet on the side so that you could stick it on metal to hold it up. The cost was around $100-120 US.

A different head was designed to be used as the running lights on a small boat.

Once again, if anyone recognizes this like would you please let me know the name of it and/or the manufacturer. Thanks.

Alloy Addict,

You hit the nail on the head. Just went to the website and that was the light. Thanks! Now, do you have any experience with this light?

No I don't, and I've never even seen one for sale. It seems like a cool light. The description sounded familiar but I couldn't remember a name. The Equipped To Survive site seemed associated with it so I searched for something like "made in canada triangular yellow LED ritter" and found it.

Look about halfway down. I have a feeling that Kliptek has either stalled or is gone since their website has a copyright date of 2002, and Doug Ritter saw them at the 2003 SHOT show.

Scratch that last part, I found a new website for them. http://www.intelightsport.com/

I can only find one site they list that sells them in the Americas.

$98 (Canadian I assume) and it looks like they are manufactured in Taiwan now.
