Does anybody have any experience with this light?......Most importantly what size and type rechargeable cells will work in this light and what is the performance compared to the 2x 123 regular cells......please note that I have read the update in "flashlightreviews.com".....I think that this could be a very versatile light with the new switching system.

Hi,

There's a passaround going on at the moment, which may answer a lot of your questions (my comments on it are in there)

I'm just about to send a Striker to Australia - you may be able to join in the passaround yourself if you jump in now.

Other threads to look at for info

At the moment the Striker will only take 3.0v 123A Li-ions or 3.7v 17670s so far as I know. Apparently the newer version of the circuitry with the revamped switching will accept 3.7v 123A Li-ions.
No-one seems to have confirmed whether any 18650s will fit.
As far as I know brightness remains the same on rechargeables.

If I were you I'd keep watching, the manufacturers seem to be taking note of CPF views on their light and may yet make further alterations.

Don
