why did Gladius drain by battery quickly?

why does the Gladius drain my J.S Burley rechargeable 3.0V CR123 quickly within 3dys? I used it once briefly for less than a minute. On the 3rd day when I turn it on, Gladius remain inoperative. I had to recharge battery.

Has anyone have thise same problem? Is the problem due Gladius or the battery is weak.

This has happened a few times to guys I work with who carry them. In all cases it was the result of the light being put away while still on or getting turned on inadvertantly without them knowing it. One way to prevent it is to lock out the tailcap and then look at the bezel to make sure the light is off. It the light is on a dim setting, you will have to look at the bezel because otherwise it will not be obvious.
