I have a habit of buying those palm pilot screen protectors and cutting them to size to protect the glass on my watches and lights. Some inovas have what they refer to as an optical coating, but I doubt it protects it from scratches! My custom adhesive will, although Im sure I lose a little lumens, it needs to be done. I do this with no fear as the adhesive plastic is easily removeable.

If anyone is interested in how I size the plastic as it comes in rectangular screens, the process is as follows:

1. Put some clear scotch tape over the lense.
2. Draw a cut out with a simple ball point pen.
3. Peel off the tape.
4. Stick the tape to the back of the cover. (Paper side.)
5. Cut on the pen line you drew.
6. Peel the backing. Dont get your dirty fingerprints on the adhesive side and make sure the lense is clean!!
7. Stick it on. The end. :)
