Saw this 19 LED Headlamp http://tinyurl.com/ecoc6 at www.goldengadgets.com
It sounds like a pretty good deal @ $9.99
They had this headlamp a while ago, and now it is back again with "only 65 pieces in stock".
Humm...either they haven't sold any today or haven't updated the website because that's what it said a couple of days ago!
Has anyone ordered this lamp, and if so would you please give a brief review or opinion of it?
The stated run time is 20 hours on the 19 LED setting. I would think that 19 LEDs would drain 3 AAA batteries sooner than 20 hours, even if it had a power regulation circuit.

Regulation circuit actually reduces the runtime because it tries to maintain the output. Without a regulation, you automatically get a long runtime, because the power draw is decreased as the battery voltage is decreased to further extend battery life.

The # of LED doesn't really tell you everything. It is all about the actual current draw the entire assembly draws.
