I have spent a lot of time with him, particularly earlier in his career. Unfortunately, everything they say about him is true in terms of personality and relationships with people. I know nothing about his training regimen however, so I wasn't referring to that.
A $90 million dollar contract for 5 years work should ease a lot of his pain. If he lives long enough to enjoy it. There's been a lot of talk about the "dishonesty" of setting records when using perfromance enhancing drugs. The real problem is what it does to your health and therefore the damage done to young kids who try to emulate their heros.
I figure the first time they test dirty they should be banned for life and forfit all earnings to date. Now THAT would clean up the whole mess. Fines and second chances? Stupid idea.
