The limiting factor with the ultrastinger is the plastic lens. I learned a few years ago that a 6v 30w bulb will melt it in short time. This is partially due to the fact of bulbs longer length(closer proximity to the lens)
If I ever get around to it, I'm going to turn a head down, thread it and use a bezel ring for the lens. This will allow for the usage of a glass lens since you remove the compression fit from the equation
The other issue is switch resistance. I've never gotten as bright a light from the US as I get with a magcharger when using the 1160 bulb. I think the diode and smaller contact area is dropping performance a bit.
