Re: FS: McGizmo Original mod!

How come you are selling this? It's one of your fav lights right!!?

I've seen the light in person, and it's nice! An early McGizmo mod from when CPF was still young, and cyans weren't green looking. I believe it's a Side emitter right? Or was that in your PRT Cyan?

Anyways, free bump!

Damn, this is tempting. But I just bought a couple lights I was really not expecting to buy. Must think...

Thanks, Sigman & CHC.
Sigman, you're right...it's definately one that I didn't want to sell.

Unfortunately, photography is more expensive than flashlights! :( :broke:

Fringe...don't think too long!! :poke:

Tell me about the cyan lux. I would think using that color would be at best just weird. Is it a novelty, or a real option to a while LED? Color perception must be ~0.

Re: FS: McGizmo Original mod!

Leef: it is a weird color. Color perception isn't that bad. After you have it on for a few minutes and your eyes adjust, it seems almost like a pale whitish light. Like everything is lit up white, but washed out. You can make out blues and reds, by the way they look. It's hard to describe. Youre eyes are most sensitive to this color. Neat thing is when I turn on a red-orange light in addition to a cyan one, it almost makes pure white light. I see all colors in "true" form.

Isaac's right.
Additionally, since our eyes are most sensitive to this color...it's AMAZINGLY bright!!!

I think it's a good "self defense" color due to the eyes super sensitivity to this color!

Re: FS: McGizmo Original mod!

:paypal::party::thanks::crackup: I'm SO happy!!!

I really lucked out, I was AFK yesterday and would have been really sad to have missed this opportunity. I'm on a huge colored Luxeon kick lately, with cyan and royal blue being the colors I have an overwhelming affinity for. This is a real sweet light. The only thing more desirable in a cyan is McGizmo's 5W cyan he built into a KT2 turbo head. I'm going to seek out a 5W cyan emitter and retrofit it to a SF turbo module and try to replicate it. If the photo rendering is accurate, your light is an absolute stunner of a cyan hue, exactly what I seek. Thank you SO much! Now, if I could convince you to part with the cyan PR-T...

Lunar strikes again!!! :)
LM: did you see in my cyan 2c thread, that flex76italy showed off his 5W cyan Aleph. It's a color bin 1, so his is true cyan! So good colored 5W cyans still exsist too somewhere...

Thanks Isaac!

You catalytically ignited a firestorm of interest in that particular hue! I've modded 3 of my own lights so far and am on the hunt for other people's. Most fun mod was a Lighthound Chinese Luxeon clone (thats super easy to change stars), populated an empty star I had with one of PF's Q2H cyans, and whammo! another fun light! I will have a small collection of this exotic and thrilling hue, for certain. BTW, the RB O-sink is STUNNING!!! Makes for a great companion to my cyan mods.

Now, to get a 5W......
