Gave a friend my old TV but it only has a coax cable in jack, no RCA video/audio in plugs. He wants to be able to hook up his play station 2 but apparently from what he tells me, it only has the RCA video/audio out jacks. Tell me if the following will work and if not are there other work arounds. I am thinking of telling him to hook up the PS2 to the video/audio in jacks of the DVD player and then choosing that input from the DVD menu. But if so, will the DVD take the video/audio in signals and then modulate them to the channel 3 output and pass it along thru the DVD coax output to the TV?

As Lasernerds also says, it should work, but if he connects his PS2 via an VCR, he can't use the PS2 as a DVD-player(due to a copy-proctection function) as I found out some years ago :(
I had to buy a new TV(Which wasn't really a bad thing, as my old one was a 21" and the one they had on sale was a 29"...)
