Does the McR-18 reflector fit without adjustement in the Fenix L1P/L2P head ?
Just drop-in I mean, to replace the stock reflector.
Or maybe I need some adjustement work to install it in a Fenix ?

I have seen at sandwich shoppe that there is 2 type of McR-18 :

- McR-18

- McR-18 "Joker" (tu use with new Luxeons). I don't know what it is.

What's the difference ?

I fit an McR-18 into an l1p without modification. 4sevens had a different experience.

As far as the joker is concerned, I believe that a subtle change in the die height of the "joker" leds altered the beam characteristics of the original mcr-18 so the design of the flector was altered. I don't know if the "joker" leds are the current shipping configuration or not.

The difference between the original fenix reflector and the Mcr-18 isn't huge (comparing both with luxIII's). I didn't check out the beams with lux I's.

The L1Ps I had appeared to have nickel-plated reflector surfaces. Compared to aluminum, nickel is inferior. Someone should get some Lux measurements before and after the mod. I no longer have a L1P so can't do it.

I fit mr18's in two L1Ps with no problem. My reflectors were plastic in the fenix. I've heard that most people found metal but perhaps i had some flukes??
