I have one that says "Lumileds" on the front, but the rear part does not say "Luxeon" on it like the Luxeon I's. Did I get a pirated junk or is it just the way it is with the III's?
Anyone have a photo of the backside of Luxeon III?

For some dumbA reason, I have a large collection of bent star boards going back over 3 years. All say "Lumaleds" on the top. None of the Lux 1s say "Luxeon" on the back. Some of the Lux IIIs do, but they seem to be in the minority. I doubt any of mine were counterfit. :shrug:

I thought it was just the white stars that didn't say Luxeon on the rear. I have a red G4GR bin Lux III and the 3rd line on the back reads "Luxeon".

Here are some LED's I had laying around. I think the two on the left are supposed to be white Luxeon III's.

For a period, the Luxeons were made in one of two facilities in Asia (Malaysia), I think they got converted over to the new Malaysia plant, in Bayan Lepas, and all the open jobs seem to be there:
