it says for 2-6 cell C or D mags, could i use a 2D Light and put in 2 of those 3AA to D battery adaptors to make 6 cells total for maximum light output, i am sure the runtime would be less with 6 AA's than 6 D's but i want the 2D size

Thanks

Sure, why not?

(Volts is volts...as long as the volts are the same, it won't matter...as you stated, runtime would be another story...and yes, the first post was a bit ambiguous.)

Probably won't work too well. From the website:

[font=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular][font=Arial,Helvetica,Geneva,Swiss,SunSans-Regular]*Optimum output with 3 cells, must use our Dummy batteries
for 4, 5 & 6 Cell use or you will burn it out.

It is only designed to work with 2 or 3 Cells, 3 Cells for optimun output,
anymore cells would burn out the Led, you would need to use dummy Cells
if using more than 3 Cells

About 5 inches of 1" pvc and a new spring is all there is to it.
