Hi everyone,

Has anyone used this 3w module:
http://emilionworkshop.com/oscommerce/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=37&products_id=54&osCsid=d882baf4e0f43a17d1174b85b885568c

Check the brightness compared to kl3:

Check runtime compared to golstone:

or perhaps the 3w goldstone one in lighthound?
http://www.lighthound.com/sales/gp_flashlight_bulbs.htm

It seems the 3w module is very very very bright. Any thoughts on the 3w module? Seems to better than the 7w golston that's been talked about here and just as bright as the kl3!!!

Any thoughts?

Can it used by the lir3.6v (unprotected cell)? It seems to accept 10v therefore it should work!
Thanks.

I bought the G&P 3W drop in for my G2. It's a bit temperamental so I'm ordering a 6P body to try it on. Apparently this is a bit of a fiddley fit with G2, but should be better. Time will tell.
As for brightness, when it works it is a very good, slightly cold beam with a lot of throw (Roughly the same as my INOVA T1) and good sidespill (nothing like the T1!!). The G&P 5W is also recommended. Don't know about the BOG ones though.

Mix and match and be happy that modular cross pollination is fun and relatively cheap.

It seems though the emillion's 3w module drop in is different than the one reviewed! As you can see it seems to be brighter than the golstone one as in the picture link that I give! The run-time seems to be longer as well!

Can anyone confirm this?
It's the very same module as the one you've linked to. If there are discrepancies in the runtimes and brightness, I can't explain them. Maybe it's just an artifact of the "Luxeon Lottery," a term we use on CPF to refer to the sometimes-high variability from one Luxeon emitter to the next.

That's great Paul, but it seems that the drop in is FAR brighter than golstone, but I had the impression the golstone was as bright was the KL3 surefire! As you can see from the beamshot picture in their website, it seems just as bright......

Are there fitment issues with the Emilion's workbench 3w module drop in?

Timcodes, Golstone doesn't make or market a module. The referance to Golstone in Emilion's chart regarded the Golstone brand cells that were used.
G&P markets a module and are not affiliated with Golstone Battery.
