I got an L2P and L1P from AmondoTech a while back. Yes, the $100 deal with batteries and charger. I put new, charged Energizer 2500 mA batteries into both on the same day.

Last night I noticed my L2P was significantly dimmer than the L1P. Recharging all the batteries overnight made everything right. I know I've put more minutes on the L1P than the L2P.

The only explanation I can come up with is that the regulation circuit of the L2P allows some current leak from the battery. Has anyone else seen this?

Not possible since there is no current path through the circuit if the switch is not activated.

What you are experiencing is called "self discharge" which is a problem with Ni-MH cells.
