Guys,

I'm full of stock Surefires and want a custom light...which would you choose for all-around "like-ability"?

1 - Aleph 1 on a 2x123 body and a McE2S 2-stage switch
2 - 3 watt HD45
3 - McLux PD

I want a light that's reasonable to carry, has good beam characteristics and feels good in the hand. It wouldn't hurt if it took rechargeable R123's or 18650's.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

If you want something easily carried forget the HD45, it is too big.

While the Aleph can be configured to take whatever cells you see fit upon ordering, the McLuxIII-PD is the more recent adn advanced light, and it can take either CR123 or R123.
I'd go with the PD except if you want something on a modular E-Series platform to expand upon, where the Aleph would be your choice. IMHO.
