It's a different beast as it's designed to be worn as a headlight not held in your hand.

It has 3 modes, 1 green led, 2 white leds and 1 xenon bulb.

The practically of this light is awesome, as it's very neat if you neat to do something with your hands, this is the light to have. If you are driving and get stuck in the middle of nowhere and need to change your car tire, or something like that, this is the light you want. Put it on and you got hands free operation.

My only reservation is that you have to cycle through modes all the time, i.e. if you are in green mode and need to cut it off, you need to first put it in 2 white led mode then xenon mode, then off. It gets annoying a bit.

It does not have instant on.

Quality seems to be high.

Headband is real neat too, 2 of them, vertical and horizontal.

It uses 3AAA batteries which is a downside for me, as all my lights use AA. I will probably end up getting a AA-based headlight, but there is nothing really wrong with it, and long run time.

As with my other SL, it's all about flood, no throw. This can be good if you need just that. Not even the Xenon bulb has much throw.

It's also highly adjustable, up and down. That's good.

I rate it as 4/5.
