just stumbled across this article earlier today, and i think it's worth a read.

here's the link to the blog

i'm not sure i want to open a can of worms by discussing the reasons and merits behind her position, or even whether or not she is "real" or not, but i know what its like to be down, and it seems that there are many people in this world who enjoy kicking those who are already down. i particularly empathize with this person, as i myself have a very small network of friends and family, and having moved around a lot my whole life, i don't really have any core group of people i can go to, or any place that i can really consider home (or considers me as one of them). and so, especially in times of trouble and self doubt, i know what it's like to be / feel completely alone with no one to go to, and it's _really_ hard on a person. i'm not saying what i've went through is worse or comparable to hers, and indeed there are others who are in even worse off situations than her, but all these little pieces certainly puts one's life in perspective...

anyway i'll let the links do the talking. it's worth a look and read if nothing else.
