Is it possible to use 3 cell body with KL4 head

Don't know if someone has already asked this question, but does anyone know if the Surefire KL4 head will work with the 3 cell Vital Gear body. I didn't want to try it incase I flash the LED. Can anyone confirm this and if it would be brighter or would it be longer running. I have already tried it the 3 cell body with the new KL1 head and it looks the same, but I heard that it gets great run time.

Don't try the KL4 on 3x123. The KL4 would have a very short life on 3x123. Even if you don't flash the Luxeon you would probably fry the circuit.

The KL4 has a boost circuit. The KL1 has a buck/boost circuit.

If you want to run a 5 watt Luxeon on 3x123 you'll need a Downboy circuit from the Sandwich Shoppe. You could use a Aleph 1 head or a Aleph 3 head with a Downboy 750 (for example) on your Vital Gear body.
