Ok, so I'm having a really hard time here deciding what light to get. Really want a Luxeon type light that runs off of AA batteries, NiMh rechargeables to be precise. Been looking at several, but I've totally or partially ruled them out for different reasons.

Let's make a list! Maybe I'll find something that I haven't seen before.

The lights I've looked at so far:

Streamlight Tasklight 2AA & 3AA
Elektrolumens XM-3
Fenix L2P 2AA
Fenix L1P 1AA
Costco 2AA
Smartfire 2AA (sold by Emilion in the past)
Gerber LX 3.0 3AA
Gerber TX 3.0 3AA
Streamlight ProPolymer 4AA

Please help me add to my list.
Can't think of anymore right now!

Peak Pacific will also have various AA bodies available. Heck, it will run on just about anything! Can bio-diesel be far behind?

Almost all of Peaks CR123 Luxeon lights can be used with their 2AA body.

The 'Lego' Maxlite AA from ARC mania is an incredible system. In stock from, the light sports a Lux III, UX0J emitter, a custom converter and a two-brightness tail cap. A large metal Aleph reflector is housed within a body made of 6061 aluminum. The hard anodize is a unique metallic olive-green with golden tint. The ledge on the bottom of the body locks the battery in place so there is no beam flicker or battery rattle.

Being the brightest AA light in the world is not enough. Surefire and Aleph parts interchange with the light. It has an 'enhanced' personality when powered with a 14500 battery.
